Spring/Summer Collections 2013
The theme for NYFW Collections, showcasing there look for the Spring/Summer next year , was Uniform! Slick two-piece suits reigned supreme, collars were primly buttoned all the way to the top, meanwhile the skirts were pleated, swingy, girly and neat. The colors were bright, fancy and oh so pretty creating a masterpiece artwork on the body. Designers went all out with the fabrics, colors and different looks for Spring/Summer. Next Spring/Summer will be sooo bright!
Designers Certainly did not forget to throw in pizazz with splashing graphic prints in electric hues, and hair steaked with neon colors down NYFW's runways. The Top 5 Trends for Spring/Summer are:
- Lady-Like Skirts - for the Curvy Girls: Roomy, swingy skirts are making a come-back. Way more comforable and versatile than those tight mini-skirts and more useful than those billowing maxis. MUST wear with heels!
- Black Leather - With all those graphic pants, pretty florals, outrageous hues, and prim-collared shirts, you'll be needing a tough exterior to bring a little edge back to your wardrobe. No Biker Babes Here!
- Two-Piece Suits - With thes new raucous suits, possibly inspired by our Political frenzy happening now, you''ll never have to worry about matching because you''ll probably end up clashing with everything you just have to OWN IT!
- The Buttoned-Up White Shirt - Its simple! It gives your body a blank canvas, throw some colors with it or pair it with a nice pair of slacks or jeans. It can be dressed up or down, very versatile and fab! The twist this season: gives the classic menswear look and ironic, unexpected edge.
- Seafoam Blue - Cool, Light and Dreamy. This minty shade like breathing Springtime Air. Some Designers mixed it with primary hues, while others played it straight and let the Vintage color, reminiscent of a Tiffany's jewelry box, speak for itself.
